Terry, a printmaker and graphic artist, works from his print workshop in rural Essex. For over four decades he worked in the uncompromising world of graphic design, achieving success both nationally and internationally for himself and his clients. In 2013 he began a course at The Curwen Print Study Centre in Cambridgeshire that provided him with the basic principles of traditional fine art printmaking. A journey began, refining and developing his skills within these disciplines.

His graphic and visual thoughts, together with his photographic imagery are sources of continual interpretation to create contemporary prints through the mediums of: solarplate etching, photo etching, monotypes and collagraphs; reflecting his interests in landscapes, seascapes, architecture and his specific fascination in military history, from which his series ‘The Warrior Class through the ages’ is evolving. Another on-going area of development is a desire to combine his calligraphic skills into one or more of these printmaking disciplines.

In 2016 and 2017 Terry was short-listed for the National Open Art Exhibition. He was also selected for the Small Print International Exhibition by The Leicester Print workshop, for their UK tour in 2017. 2018 saw him selected to exhibit at the Cambridge Original Printmakers Biennial where he won the Best Print in Show Award by the Cambridge Contemporary Art Gallery. Culminating in exhibiting at the CCA Landscape Exhibition in March 2019.
